Great White Shark Tooth - Carcharodon carcharias - 52×38×8 mm
Carcharodon Carcharias, commonly known as white shark, is the largest sea predator now existing. It is thought to be the descendant of Megalodon, a giant prehistoric shark, although not all biologists agree with this classification, and the debate is still open.
The special resemblance of the teeth would seem to push in favour of this theory, but it could simply be a convergent evolution.
Great white shark teeth are triangular, sharp and serrated, which makes them extremely effective and dangerous while hunting.
