antique hot air engine (stirling engine) with double flywheel - Steel, cast iron
Antique and vertical hot air engine with 2 flywheels. The operating piston and the parallel displacement piston placed on the outside each have an independent cylinder. The head of the heating pipe is placed on the underside above the heat source. All parts are original.
The hot air motor has been tested several times with a container of Bio-Ethanol (fire paste) and works well. If the heating pipe is properly heated, you must first manually start the flywheel a number of times before it starts to turn.
The original container (see photos 9 to 12) is leaking in a number of places and will have to be soldered. The box with fire paste (photo 13) is not part of this lot.
A nice industrial machine for the enthusiast / collector and a very decorative item.
Dimensions:
Base: 28 x 18 cm.
-height: 42 cm
-width: 21 cm
-depth: 9 cm
Flywheel diameter: 15.5 cm.
In good condition with several traces of age and use. The red original lacquer is weathered and removed in various places. This only reinforces the industrial character of the machine. Here and there some rust but nowhere rusted all the way through.
Photos are an integral part of the description of this lot.
The lot will be carefully packed and sent by registered mail with track and trace. May be collected from us in Rotterdam-Kralingen by appointment.
