Moto Guzzi - Galletto 175 - 175 cc - 1953

“Galletto”, amazingly preserved and still in its original first paint. Only one owner With a nice patina: this vehicle is 65 years old! The 175cc model is the latest evolution of the first and most appreciated “Galletto”. Only 8660 specimens were manufactured. This is a complete specimen. With number plate and DMV blank information. Working. Battery needs to be replaced. To be serviced before a safe use. With vintage coeval accessories: chain cover, footrests and the central case. It can be viewed and picked up in Chieti, Italy. The four-stroke 175cc scooter known as the "Galletto" was designed by the founder of the company, Carlo Guzzi, who decided to combine the advantages of a high-wheel bike with those of a scooter, eliminating the drawbacks of both. The "Galletto" sold well because it provided driver protection, ease of use, and a spare tyre - mounted between the front wheel and the front frame, it was and extra to be bought separately - all characteristics of a simple scooter, mixed with the comfort and the road holding performance of a motorcycle.
