Two original Rhewum Blitz lanterns, with ingenious design of a flashing flame.
This was the first kind of flashing light, which was used at road works to warn motorists.

In addition to roadwork also used for work at the track.
It has a wick and it can be used with lamp oil. Originally it was used with kerosene.
Numbered with no. 36 and 44. It also has some stickers so it appears to have been used in Brussels, Belgium. It also mentions Made in Germany.
