Beautiful etching by Maurice Langaskens (1884-1946). Early 20th century. Number 93/100, including mat. Beautiful colours. Maurice Langaskens was active as a painter, watercolourist and graphic artist. He studied at the famous Parisian Academie des Arts Décoratifs. He also studied under the supervision of Contand Montald. During WW I he was imprisoned in a German camp. He particularly flourished after the war with etchings that mainly depicted labour. Langaskens was also a member of the Cercle Artistique d'Auderghem. In the interwar period, the artist was a member of the association association Cercle Artistique d'Auderghem active in the Brussels, municipality of Auderghem. This group wanted a museum in Auderghem and therefore, the members of the association donated work to the municipality. The Cercle Artistique d'Auderghem published graphic art, organised exhibitions and was also active in charity work in the municipality. Will be packaged with care and shipped by registered post.
