Raeren is located approx. ten kilometres west of Aachen in Belgium. When we mention ‘Raeren’, we not only talk about the village, though also about the hamlets in the direct surroundings. Raeren, Neudorf, Titvelt and Merols are the four most important production locations. Furthermore, there are the neighbouring villages Botz, Eynatten and Hauset. These produced Pingsdorf earthenware since the middle of the 12th century. By the way, this also applies to Neudorf.
