Automaton, vintage whistling songbird, Birdcage - Brass - First half 20th century
Superb and rare automaton representing a small coloured bird singing several tunes (3 or 4 different ones), in its gilt brass cage, from the first part of the 20th century.
This automaton is in good overall condition.
It works perfectly, the reassembly is done underneath, interlocking system on the side, see pictures. Stamped Made in France.
The plumage of the bird is original.
Very good condition, some missing feathers on the bird.
