On offer: a complete and in original condition extremely rare LSK-LV MiG-21 jet fighter pilot’s helmet set (for very high altitude flights). Worn by Oberleutnant Krause. Used in (among others) the MiG-21, and more precisely for Stratosphere mission flights, these are flights at extremely high altitudes. This is the outer helmet with sun visor and the original associated pilot’s cap with built-in headset and microphone, the rare helmet container featuring the name of the pilot: Krause, and various protective covers (see photos). Also the original stamped and signed Russian document belonging to this pilot’s helmet. Also a set of 2 extra inner ‘condom’ helmets (see photos). Also very special about this beautiful pilot’s helmet is that it has been used by a former fighter pilot who flew from the LSK-LV Trollenhagen (Neubrandenburg) air base in the former GDR. This Flugzeugfuhrer flew in the JG-2 (Jagdfliegergeschwader 2) with the name: Juri Gagarin (Russische Kosmonaut). Oberleutnant Krause’s name can be found in various places, including on and inside the helmet, and on the helmet container (see photos). This type of pilot’s helmet is extremely rare, and has a high collecting value! A great investment! Condition: The pilot’s helmet is in good original and used condition, here and there slight signs of use, 1 zipper pull is missing.
