MG - MGA A ROADSTER - Eligible Mille Miglia - 1956

MG MGA "ROADSTER" from 1956 First series 1500 cc car with drum brakes According to current Mille Miglia Register norms, the vehicle is “Eligible Mille Miglia” as the MGA 1500 Roadster took part in the historic Mille Miglia. Rare first series from 1956, very low frame number; Frame no. HDA43/20656 BLACK original colour with red interior, as reported in authenticity certificate (rare); Options: heating and extra oil cooler; You can easily picture all the necessary interventions to make on this car! Documents in order for car registration: American title, customs clearance document and Heritage authenticity certificate. Origin: USA. In 2008 the car was imported to Italy, where the previous owner started restoring the vehicle (but he never finished due to personal problems). Frame and bodywork were stripped with “media blast”, a sandblasting procedure involving microspheres, and treated with an antirust epoxy primer. The frame was repainted in black colour. Rims were repainted too. Striping, treatment and repainting cost €2,400 (documented). The body needs to be restored, while the frame is in very good conditions. The engine is loose and could be started, but an inspection is recommended first. The bottom is new. Another 1500 cc engine block is included (for restoration). All new spare parts are available at Moss Europe or MGOC at convenient prices. MGA first series are the most sought-after: owning a 1956 model will allow you to participate in many historical competitions, an occasion for restoring a racing or concours car. We ship to Italy, Europe and worldwide. Follow our auctions on Catawiki.
