A large and well carved ivory figure of a Bishop with a triptych. Opening his robe reveals carved biblical scenes around Christ's Descent from the Cross. Made in Dieppe, France, in the 19th century. The figure is in fairly good condition Signs of old repairs at Bishop's left hand Probably the figure used to hold something in his right hand (this attribute is missing) Door hinges are weak and wobbly (don't hold doors correctly) Base has some missing bits Visible on pictures.
