Omega - Genéve - Breguet numerals - 136.0099 - Men - 1970-1979

Up for auction is a rare and collectibe vintage Omega from 1972 sporting Breguet numerals, distinctive numerals that A.- L. Breguet designed. Although he himself was no calligraphist, Breguet’s Arabic numerals show his flair for combining function with elegance. Breguet numerals first appeared before the French Revolution when they shared the dial with tiny stars to mark the minutes and stylised fleur-de-lys at five-minute intervals. By 1790 they had assumed their definitive form. Case diameter is 36 mm w/o crown. Omega signed leather strap is 23 cm long including the case. Omega signed buckle, crown NOT original. Manual winding Omega movement is calibre 1030 with 17 jewels, working properly and keeping time. There are minimal spots on the dial and hairy scratches on the case-back. Other than those, the condition is fine and suitable for daily use. Please check all the pictures, they are part of the description. To be sent with UPS express shipping. Buyer is responsible for any custom fees incurred. Please check your country's customs policy. Contact me for any requests beforehand.
