Antique 19th century, circa 1870-1900, French, Wasp-waisted mannequin. The cardboard body-piece of this dress-maker’s form is covered with black linen. The mannequin has a beautiful narrow waist, perfect for a corset, a narrow bodice or a dress. The mannequin has black wooden arm-bases and the height can be adjusted by means of copper set screw. Measurements: Dummy Waist: 58 cm. Dummy Height: 1.6 m. Condition; The torso of the wasp-waisted mannequin - bust is in great condition. The fabric covering of the bust is worn and is showing areas of wear, but this does give the mannequin a beautiful and authentic appearance. any visible damage to the fabric is relative to it’s age and usage. There are also some points of wear on the wood and textile parts. Please see the photos. When removing the fabric cover one will see the cardboard interior that is in good condition.
