The canvas has light craquelure (which is not annoying) and the frame has light use traces. The work can be viewed at Kunsthandel Martins anno 2018 (2e Exloermond) and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Info: The artist lived and worked from 1923 in Voorburg. He was a student of Bartus Korteling in Deventer and then moved to Antwerp. There he went to the drawing academy under the direction of Professor A. de Vriendt. Then for another 2 years at the Academy for the B.K. in The Hague. He was a friend and student of the painter Th. de Bock. He painted landscapes and forest scenes in the style of Th. de Bock. Dozens of his works have been stripped of his name and falsified. He gave lessons to M.A.v.d.Wiel. Brouwer was a member of Arti et Amicitiae. Origin: Collection Kunsthandel Martins in 2018.
