This magnificent Volvo PV 544 Sport is from the year of manufacture 1962. As the name implies, this is an original PV in Sports version, so with an 1800 cc engine and twin carburettors. This is therefore an ORIGINAL Sports version, special and very rare! The chassis number and type plate bear witness to this particular version, which was barely sold new. The engine delivers 85 HP and is linked to a manual gearbox with 4 speeds. Engine, gearbox and brakes function just fine. Thanks to the high performance and the huge amount of torque, this Volvo is extremely suitable to be used in current traffic. And by its shape and colour it is also a major eye-catcher. The car is painted in the Volvo colour code 46, the original colour for this car, and is specially intended to emphasise the sporty character of this fast Swedish car, ruby red. The car can optionally (as desired) and without a surcharge be delivered with EU export documents, so that a potential new foreign buyer can easily register the car is his/her country. This car was sold new in Sweden and came to the Netherlands in 1995. The car has a valid Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection until 8 June 2019. Four sporty (not original) light-alloy wheels with very good tyres are included with this Volvo. The original red steel rims with chrome-plated Volvo hubcaps and good tyres, which can be seen on the photos, are, of course, also included. The car can be driven immediately, does have a few imperfections in the paint, please see the photos. The interior is neat, the upholstery of the seats and headliner are in a very neat condition. Because a 123 electronic ignition has been mounted, the tachometer is currently not working, the original ignition is present and is included with the car.
