Detours, 384 pages, Softback, 2008, as new
A retrospect of Villevoye's work incorporating photographs, video stills and installation works. Charting back to the early 1990's this survey highlights the artist's approach which is situated in a search for a form of authenticity – understood as a basic human quality. His works comprise elements drawn from repeated visits to New Guinea and investigate colonial history, visual culture and the confusions and fascinations that underlie interactions where cultures meet. Illustrated throughout, with full-page colour photographs and video stills.

Tí, 140 pages, Softback, 2013, Van Zoetendaal Publishers, as new and still sealed
In 2011, artist Roy Villevoye and photographer Koos Breukel visited the small settlement of Asmat Tí in Papua, where hunter-gatherer people have lived for generations in complete isolation in the rainforest. Villevoye and Breukel each made portraits according to their respective background and perspective of all 120 inhabitants – images that attest to the universal essence of mankind.
Texts: Thijs Goldschmidt and Hans Den Hartog Jager
