Very beautiful and rare Ford Escort XR3i 1.6 from 1983 with just over 81000km on the counter. It concerns one of the earlier XR3i copies and is delivered new in Germany. Verifiable from first owner and still has the original German documents. They are getting harder to find, especially in this condition and from first owner. The body is fully refurbished and completely new sprayed in the original colour. The bottom is rust-free and technically the Escort is also fully in order. Much renewed in the technical field such as 4 x new tyres, brakes front and rear complete, timing belt, wheel bearings, tappets and a major maintenance service. The interior is very neat and original except for some small cracks in the dashboard (a well known Escort ailment). Not bothersome or that noticeable, and this is the only flaw. It has an original glass sliding roof as an option and of course everything that is supposed to be found on an XR3i such as the sporty spoilers all around, spotlights, original alloy wheels and sports seats, nice “back to basics” driving. A very nice and sporty car. This Escort really comes into its own when it comes to sporty driving. Step on the accelerator pedal and the 1600 engine with injection will eagerly come to life, making the Escort a real lively and fast car. It drives great in curves and you immediately feel where what this car was intended for at the time. It has lost nothing of this charm and guarantees lots of enjoyment.
