Odobez was a French clockmaker's family that manufactured good quality Comtoise clocks in the small village of Morez in Western France. Morez is situated near to Lyon and the Swiss cities of Geneva and Bern. François-Désiré (1816-1889) founded the family business "ODO" in the year 1843. Pendulum and weights missing. Movement in very good condition with minor marks of age, I don't see missing parts. Movement not tested. Case made of steel, decorated with casr bronze details, to include top arch with cock (symbol of France) and Bourbon's lilias.
