Vintage sunglasses by Jean-Paul Gaultier from the 1980s–90s. Completely original, in like-new condition.
Jean Paul Gaultier (Arcueil, 24 April 1952) is a French designer who worked for Pierre Cardin, among others.
In 1976, Gaultier released his first collection under his own name. His reputation in the fashion world as 'enfent terrible' was established in 1981, when he for the first time presented a collection in the style we are meanwhile used to see from him: daring, innovative, and sometimes even shocking.
He is also known for his corsets with pointy bra cups, which he designed for the pop artist Madonna during her Blonde Ambition Tour in the 1990s. He also designed the clothes for Madonna's Confessions Tour in 2006. Apart from that, he also took care of the styling of a great number of films.
The model 56-8171 is one of the better known models and has been worn by stars like Lady Gaga.
