With mark of BARRARD & VIGNON Fts D' HORLOGERIE RUE COMMINES 7 PARIS.
In France Brocot invented the Brocot escapement that was named after him and which is still used in modern mechanical mantel clocks. With this, mechanical clocks reached a high level of accuracy, already in the 18th century.
In very good, functioning condition. The movement is protected by thick glass at the front as well as the back.
