Lovely vintage solid brass oil lamp, with a lovely glass bowl for lampshade. Is able to stand on table or hang on wall. Produced by G.V. Harnisch EFTF. Denmark. Very vintage Danish design. Has been used but is in very good and maintained condition. Has no damaged on either brass or glass. Gives a vintage look in the Living room, also suited for use outside, or on a yacht/ship/boat. Dimensions: Height: 35 cm Diameter: 10 cm Diameter glass bowl: 13 cm G.V. Harnisch history: Started as a copper smithy, plumber and lamp manufacturer, established in 1842 in Copenhagen. Etablished by Georg William Frydenlund (1884). The company produced the well-known red Danish mailboxes as well as oil and petroleum lamps, and not least lanterns for lighthouses, where it became the royal Danish lighthouse authority's authorized supplier. Along the way, the company became G.W. Frydenlund & Søn's Workshops In 1912, J.A.V. Harnisch knighted and his son Georg Vilhelm Alexander Harnisch, who was a trained copper mediator, followed in his father's footsteps as director of the company, and he became co-owner of the company in 1922, when J.A.V. Harnisch died G.V. Harnisch's son, Flemming Harnisch, was trained as a copper mediator from 1941 to 1945 and worked among other things. in the firm until he emigrated to Canada in 1976 and there the independent company Harnisch Lamps established.
