Excellent sabre model 1837, in perfect condition. After its suppression by Louis XVIII in 1816 the sabre will be again made regulatory by order of the King on the uniform of the Royal Navy on 20 July 1837. No oxidation on the blade, the brass has been carefully polished and the leather cleaned, stuffing, and waxed as in its best time. Mount in chiselled gilded brass. Long-tailed cap, chiselled with flags and oak leaves. Guard with one branch and shell open chiselled, adorned in a shield of the anchor, shells, reeds and leaves. Sheath leather with three gilded brass fittings, chiselled and two rings. Locket with anchor and button in shell. Dart in shell. The pictures are part of the description of the object.
