A Royal Copenhagen Edvard Eriksen Mermaid on Rock figurine Edvard Eriksen (1876 - 1959) was a Danish–Icelandic sculptor. He is best known as the creator of The Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen 1909–1913, and used his wife, Eline Eriksen, as the model for the statues body, and actress Ellen Price as the model for the mermaids head. Marked on the bottom with the blue factory crown stamp and the number "28" , there is also the number "12516" impressed In exellent condition
