Original Art Deco sculpture from the 1920s/30s of a dancer with a large hoop, known as “Danseuse au Cerceau” from the Max Le Verrier manufacture, signed “Briand”. Height with base: 29 cm Height without base: 24 cm Weight: 1,285 g The original finish has partly come off in several places, especially on the hoop. The connection between the hoop ad the leg has come loose (see photo), but the hoop is still in its place and can be corrected easily. The sculpture has no fractures, tears or restorations, and the granite base is intact as well, it just has the usual traces of wear on the bottom surface. This is a beautiful original Art Deco sculpture from the workshop of Max Le Verrier, that represents this era perfectly.
