Omega - Genève Solid Gold 585/000 - Ref. 131.041 - Men - 1960-1969

Magnificent solid gold Omega Genève in very neat condition, both optically and technically. It has the reference number 131.041 and the watch was produced in the late 60s. This is the full-size version of 34 mm measured excluding the crown. This chic Omega Genève has a number of wonderful details. The silver-grey dial for instance has a sunburst structure, and the Omega sign and hour indices are overlaid. The grey colour of the dial wonderfully contrasts the 14 kt gold case. The hands, too, are original, and the dial is in very neat condition with an irregularity next to the 4 and 6 o'clock positions. In our opinion this only underlines the watch's considerable age of 50 years in a beautiful manner. The 14 kt gold case is nice and sharp and appears to be unpolished. We decided to leave the local discolouration of the gold the way it is to emphasise the originality of the watch. The watch furthermore features the original crown, signed with the Omega sign. The total weight of the watch, including movement and all, is 24 grams. The wonderful Omega 601 calibre keeps time very well and winds smoothly by means of the crown. Time adjustment functions as it should as well. So you're unburdened by servicing costs for the period ahead! Comes on a new-old-stock vintage black leather strap, suitable for wrists of up to 19.5 cm. All in all a wonderful, full-gold Omega Genève in very neat condition. Apart from being a gorgeous wristwatch also an investment stable in value for the future. Omega is a Swiss top brand that can be compared with brands like Rolex, Universal Genève and Cartier. Will be packaged with care and shipped by insured post.
