This beautiful engraving of a painting by Valerius De Saedeleer was carried out and printed in the studio of Hebbelinck. It illustrates a cherished theme of the popular painter: a snowy Oostvlaams landscape (region around Oudenaarde), with his typical slender dark trees. There were 250 copies printed, this one has the number 245. The signature of De Saedeleer crosses the engraving and the paper frame, which indicates that this is original. Also the colouring of the engraving is said to be done by the master himself. The frame is original, the glass and mat were renewed. Very beautiful & valuable work.
