Gaston Hauchecorne is a sculptor well-known for his small terracotta busts which he made representing Asian subjects.
This subject is extremely delicate and very spiritual.
After a lot of research, this is a very rarely found subject by the artist.
It is signed on the right side and dated 26
It is monogrammed on the interior with the following inscriptions:
‘une âme en paix’ ‘épreuve originale n.5. 35 épreuves
26 Mars 1927’
