Very beautiful cast iron royal coat of arms "Württemberg 1817-1918" / Germany. The coat of arms of this German royal family has been changes a number of time throughout history. This version was used between 1817 and 1918. The coat of arms as shown here from Württemberg, originated in 1817, when King William I came to power. He minimalised the broadening coat of arms on a round oval, wrapped in a gold oak wreath with a helmet and crown. The coat of arms depicts three deer antlers on the left, these represent Württemberg. On the right it depicts three lions, these represent Schwaben. The shield holders of the deer and lion stand on a ribbon with the inscription „furchtlos und trew“ („furchtlos und treu“). The lot is in good and nice condition. Dimensions: approx. 48 x 47 x 4 cm. Weight: 5 - 10 kg.
