Sericho (Habaswein) New Pallasite. XL Stony-Iron Meteorite - 16×12×8 cm - 2.1 kg

Two brothers were looking for their camels near the village of Habaswein in Kenya when they found several large stones that had no relation to the surroundings. Upon checking their heavy weight and their iron content, the brothers concluded that these should be meteorites. They spent a few weeks collecting everything and took them home to Habaswein. After an investigation it turned out to be a meteorite! More specifically a "Pallasite", very rare meteorites in which olivines are mixed in a metallic matrix. This pallasite initially was called Habaswein, neighbouring city of the first found fragments. Finally, the meteorite was officially named Sericho, the area of Kenya where the impact took place. A fantastic specimen of large size and high quality to add to your collection. Do not miss this opportunity! We are IMCA (International Meteorites Collectors Association) members with number #7412, and as such we guarantee the authenticity of all our meteorites. Purchase with warranty. CRATER Meteorites.
