The frame is in good condition and has traces of wear. Jos Lussenburg was born in Enkhuizen on 20 November 1889 and died in Nunspeet on 28 July 1975. He was a watercolourist, painter, draughtsman and pastellist. Lussenburg was self-taught and started painting around 1923. Lussenburg taught: Gerrit van Dorp, Pieter Hak, Jaap Hiddink, Geo Kauderer and Cornelis Adrianus Korndörffer. He painted figure scenes, landscapes (as a genre), portraits, cityscapes, marines (as a genre) and winter landscapes. Lussenburg was a member of the professional association of fine artists BBK, De Kern (Apeldoorn), Palet (Zwolle) and the society of painters from Noordveluwe. The painting will be carefully packed and shipped by registered mail. Pick-up is also possible.
