Neptune-Anchor-Ship lamp (complete and original) - Red copper - First half 20th century
Beautiful ship oil lamp from the 1930s.
On the chimney the copper brand plate of Neptune NR.
Neptune is the god of the waves and all the running water, a god of the sea.
The lamp can stand or hang. At the bottom a ring where it was with a rope secured to the mast. Even the chain with hook to bolt the lock is still attached. The oil lamp has the original complete wick, and is therefore ready for use. The set wheel of the lamp has the text: Tans of Lundon, England (see picture 15).
The special glass is thick and gives an endurable light. The copper has a wonderful patina. This lamp is a real eye-catcher.
The lamp is excluding the depicted rope, is meant as an idea to possibly hang it.
This lot has been cleaned carefully and will be packaged with great care. It will be shipped by registered and insured mail with track and trace code. Pick up in Ridderkerk (Zuid-Holland, NL) is of course also possible.
