Beautiful Japanese copper (silver plated) covered box. Some red copper is showing through the (jaded) silver plating. The interior has a wooden insert which has a crack (see photos). The scenes are truly sublime , beautifully detailed and a true lust for the eye. There are dragons on top of the lid, and the box is encircled with a scene of trees, flowers and birds. Wrought in detail. The bottom of the box is missing a piece. (see photos). The box is otherwise in good condition, a true eye catcher!
