I M P E R I A L (Imperial Watch Co. / Louis Goering / Montres Elaine & Imperial SA / Norwich Watch - Military and/or 'Medicus' - 8 6 3 4 8 - Men - Post Pearl Harbour - Q1 1942

◄N.B. Daylight photos vary; workshop ones are taken under special light. Macro lens used; in enlarged photos you'll see things you wouldn't normally. I don't use enhancement software.► Case diameter: 27.81mms less crown Strap type/material: Military webbing G10/NATO type Strap size: Wrist>>23.30cms Dial: Military style with outer chapter seconds ring Movement: No. 6042; AS based/militarised 17 jewels sweep second. Service within 2-3 years; keeps time Calibre: #1038; Google 'AS 1038 ranfft' for information History & Notes Virtually the last of my Imperials. This one has a Schmitz Frères clam-shell case giving superb waterproofing. Testimony to this is the dial's condition after more 77 years. The smallish case is due to wartime steel shortage and is typical for the period. BXP on the movement is the US Government Import code. Examine the photos carefully; they form the majority of this increasingly rare WW2 period Swiss vintage watch's description. The Imperial will be wrapped carefully (see my Feedback and bid with confidence!) then shipped via Colissimo Insured & Signed For. E & O E © AntMat's Auto Matters & Watches 2019
