This ocean racer used to belong to Wietse Vander Zee who from 1989 until 1995 used it for the Azores and Back Yacht Race, the Ostar and the Round Britain and Ireland Race. He won the first half of the Azores race beating number two with 19 hours! The ship is owned by the current owner since 1993 who bought it directly from the first owner.
