Pallasites are considered by many to be the most beautiful type of meteorite. They are thought to originate at the core-mantle boundary of differentiated asteroids, where the metallic core meets the lighter rocks. They were then shattered to space through another meteorite impact until they fell on Earth. 

Brenham is a pallasite found near Haviland, a small town between Wichita and Dodge City in Kansas. It is a meteorite associated with the Haviland Crater.

This meteorite is a cut slice so the metallic matrix is appreciated. In some cases, as in this one, Brenham does not have olivines and is fully metallic.
