Beautiful pair of handles vases in very good condition made in the Fivès suburb in Lille ca. 1915-25. Night blue background enamelled with small flowers on the neck, ink monogrammed in hollow with the initials DB (De Bruyn) and carries the number 4803 and signed to gold (see photos). Antoine Gustave De Bruyn, called Gustave, (9th December 1838 Louvain, Belgium - 11th August 1916 Lille, France) was the founder of the Faïencerie de Fives Lille. In 1889, De Bruyn was awarded a medal at the World Fair in Paris. Carefully packaged and tracked.
