Japan - Kaigun Tanken - 1883 WWII Imperial Japanese Naval officer - combat - Dagger with belt
WW2 fully original 1883 patterned Imperial Japanese Naval officer dagger/dirk. Complete with original belt and hangers. Dagger and belt are in great condition, very well kept. No damage, rips or cracks everything is intact. Blade has no rust or pitting, scabbard is all intact. Belt is in worn but superb condition. The saya (scabbard) is leather covered wood stitched up to the reverse with all the stitching intact. It has detailed upper and lower brass fittings. I have uploaded as many photos as possible to illustrate the dagger fully, the handle blade has forge marks on, indicating it's authenticity. A very nice piece of history and great addition to any collection
