Superb pair of bookends made of Babbitt metal and marble depicting antelopes. Gilded Babbitt metal, with a nice patina, stylized foliage base made of green Babbitt metal. Black marble support. Signed "Gallot" on the green marble base. Circa 1930, France. Good general condition despite some signs of wear. Note that one of the patina of one of the sculptures has some signs of wear on one side and some slight discoloration of the green foliage (photos 6, 7, 13, 14, 15, 16). Some scratches and micro-scratches, one important chip and some small chips on the marble base (photos 36 to 40).
