Second-half20th century Italian Grand Tour model of Pauline Bonaparte Borghese as Venus Victrix,Pauline Bonaparte, born in Ajaccio in 1780, sister of Napoleon I of France and wife of the Roman Prince Camillo Borghese, whom she married in 1803. The sculpture is in exquisitely carved alabaster with apple in hand,sculpture carved and signed by A.Santini A.Santini or Amilcare Santini was born in 1910 near the city of Florence in Tuscany. At the age of twelve he became an appretence to the sculptor Colombini who became a major influence in his career. He spent most of his time learning his craft in his workshop , Santini passed away in 1975. Dimenssion : Height : 34,5 cm , Length : 57,5 cm , Width : 24,3 cm , Weight 20 kg .
