Large spelter deer with bronze patina signed on the base. Carvin is a French animal sculptor trained at the school of fine arts in Paris, pupil of Emmanuel Frémiet and Georges Gardet. Member of the society of French artists, active from the end of the nineteenth century to 1933. His models: deer were one of his specialties, as well as cats, birds, dogs...
