An "Ella Sclater" was born in 1876 in Shaldon, Devon, to Sarah Sclater, age 34, and Elias Sclater, age 32. In 1876 she lived in Shaldon, Devon, England. In 1891 at age 15, she was a daughter in census, living in St Nicholas, Devon, England. In 1901 at 25, her relation to Head of House was daughter living in St Nicholas, Devon, England. We assume this family is all related, by the unusual Sclater surname.

The carte de visite photo exhibits Masonic icons and text such as: Upright. Light. Life. Love. He set up the left pillar of the temple and called it BOAZ. He set up the right pillar of the temple and called it JACHIN. Charity to man, Hope of immortality, Faith in God.

Icons: Crowns, compass, ruler, leafs, silk, bible opened to Kings VI. Many masonic silk ribbons, armorial motifs, medals, badges and paraphernalia. Pillar with text, fringe, masonic aprons.

This original vintage CDV photo was found in Exeter, Devon, England. A beautiful and rare piece of masonic history. "Album fillers" were CDV photos made to fill in the empty spaces in the early CDV photo albums, between the various family photos. They can be humorous, cultural, political, erotic, playful, jokes, poems, current news, cultural and regional topics and advertising related in nature.

The image will be sent in a new rigid CDV sleeve.

'n Leuke set houten maskers. Beetje lang op gewacht ('n week na aankoop pas verstuurd). De verzendkosten waren eigenlijk wel erg hoog voor een pakje uit België(?). Maar de maskers zijn leuk. H.g. KvZ
