Object: Mariner's compass (More lots)
Material: Bronze
Manufacturer/ Brand: Henry Brown & Son Ltd
Model/ Name: Sestral
Estimated Period: Second half 20th century
Country of Origin: England
Condition: As new - unused
Weight: 2200 g

This compass is complete and absolutely unused. Although manufactured in 1977 as per the certified label (please see photograph) still attached, it was never fitted to my yacht. It remains in it's original packaging case and this also can be seen in photographs.

Henry Brown & Son Ltd were a premier manufacturer of very high quality engineered maritime instruments that led the world in design and for robust engineering design.

It is complete with gimbals, back light and the mounting wedge. The gimbal frame can be mounted so as the compass is vertical or horizontally held.

I hope this finds a new home where it will be used for competent navigation on a yacht or craft.
