History of Gimson/Flandria: The company name was Gimbernant Hermanos, Figueras, Gerona. Spanish bicycle factory, from 1956 to 1964, they made light 49 and 65 cc two-stroke motorcycles. Presumably after 1965, Belgian Flandria bikes were licensed to be built by Gimson and then integrated with their own models. Over the years, the mopeds were moving closer to the Flandria models in terms of design. Even until a few years after the bankruptcy of Flandria in 1981, Gimson continued to build mopeds.
