Clara Hoppenrath (1870-1930) - Meisterliches Stillleben Blumen in Vase

For auction is a great still life with flowers by C. Hoppenrath. The painting comes from a non-smoking household. Hoppenrath, Clara, 1907 was a Berlin painter, listed in Dressler's Art Handbook, known for her flower still lifes. Approx. size: 95 x 74 including frame. approx. 58.5 cm x 80.5 cm without frame. Condition of the painting very good for its age, the cloth is undamaged, no flaking visible on the painting. The Baroque picture frame has light quirks, the passepartout seems a little too small. This painter garners high prices at international auctions. About the artist: In 1893, Clara Hoppenrath was promoted and received a Duncker scholarship. From 1894 to 1916 she was a member of the Association of Berlin Female Artists, whose exhibition she sent in 1894 and 1898. She worked in Berlin in 1921 and 1930. Source: Dressler and "Käthes, Paula und der ganze Rest." International Bidders are welcome, NON EU Members: please advise about the shipping costs
