About the painter: Anton Pick (real name Pich) was born on 20. September 1840 in Görz and died around 1905 in Vienna. He was an Austrian painter, who studied at the Art Academy in Milan under Albert Zimmermann and subsequently in Venice. He moved to Vienna in 1867, where he worked his whole life. Anton Pick signed his work with the pseudonyms “C. Rieder” and “H. Moser”. Anton Pick is especially renowned for his atmospheric Alpine landscapes, that reach prices of over €5,000 at international auctions. About the painter:
Anton Pick (real name Pich) was born on 20. September 1840 in Görz and died around 1905 in Vienna. He was an Austrian painter, who studied at the Art Academy in Milan under Albert Zimmermann and subsequently in Venice.
He moved to Vienna in 1867, where he worked his whole life. Anton Pick signed his work with the pseudonyms “C. Rieder” and “H. Moser”. Anton Pick is especially renowned for his atmospheric Alpine landscapes, that reach prices of over €5,000 at international auctions.
