This is a stunning early 19th century Fede Ring in 15kt gold (tests no hallmarks because of age) It is considered a very romantic ring and quite rare to have the fede ring that will open up to reveal two hearts. A gold fede / gimmel ring consisting of two interlocking and twisted hoops with clasped hands forming the bezel. Within the lower hand is a double heart and, when the two hoops are joined, the top hand clasps this heart.
