Peter Ghyczy - Peter Ghyczy - Coffee table

After the Hungarian Revolution, architect and designer Peter Ghyczy left Hungary to settle his company in the Netherlands after a temporary stay in Germany. In 1971 he presented his first independent furniture collection. This was based on sand-cast brass legs and frames that were clamped and screwed to the glass table top in an ingenious way. The designs by Ghyczy combine Bauhaus minimalism with the exotic Art Deco patterns and details from ancient Egypt. The legs of the table feature the Ghyczy logo.
