Emblem / mascot - Borgward Isabella - Coupé origineel motorkap mascotte - 1957
The Borgward Isabella Coupé appeared on the market in 1957 and was built about 9500 times until Borgwards closure in 1963. An important part of the production was destined for export to the United States. Especially for this market small tail wings were designed, which were screwed on the rear screens. The Isabella Coupé is one of the most successful designs from the Borgward stable. The car looks slim, even though it weighs about 1100 kilos. In old test reports, the Borgward Isabella, which as a Coupé always has the 75 hp strong TS engine, is described as dynamic and fast. Whoever takes the steering wheel, quickly notices that Carl Borgward had a high standard of comfort. The mascot is in fine condition. Some small dents, and could use a cleaning.
