Honda - CBX 1000 - 1000 cc - 1980

Honda CBX 1000cc 6 cylinders. Restored and ASI registered from 1980. This is a second series called CBX A. Produced only in 4750 copies. Only two previous owners. This motorcycle is in perfect working condition. Ready for use, without defects. A picture of the motorbike was published on ‘Motociclismo d’Epoca’, published in February 2019, in a report dedicated to CBX 1000. The CBX was a point of arrival, as Honda's highest technical and manufacturing expression in the field of air-cooled four-stroke twin-shaft engines. In fact, all the experience gained by the Japanese company in nine years of participation in the Single Speed World Championship (from 1959 to 1967) has been transferred to the CBX1000. It is no coincidence that the project leader for the six-cylinder engine was the engineer Soichiro Irimajiri, in charge of Honda's racing department in the 1960s, from where the fabulous RC165 and RC166 six-cylinder GPs, which inspired the CBX1000, were produced. Buying a six-cylinder CBX1000 today means taking home a piece of 1970s motorcycle history. As Benito Battilani - a leading figure at ASI and CRAME - always said: “They're not models that relate to what I usually handle, but I bought them because I think they'll never build bikes like this again.” Italian documents in order for transfer of ownership. The arrangements for the pickup of the vehicle are the responsibility of the buyer. For Italian buyers: costs for transfer of ownership shall be borne by the buyer. For non-Italian buyers: costs for de-registration for export (€100) shall be borne by the buyer. Bike sold without warranty Located in Ferrara - Italy. Transport available with 0.5 €/km rate.
