Following cyclist Wim Van Est's victory on the Bordeaux-Paris of 1950, PONTIAC decided to sponsor the Dutch team for the 1951 Tour de France. Pontiac from the 40s, stamped with a big P and the stars up until year 1958. Case in gold plated 20 micron 33 mm excluding the crown in a state close to new and screwed steel bottom stamped and numbered. Two-shade dial, flawless, seconds markings, black numerals, fine hands, small second hand at 18 o'clock and inscription Pontiac Swimmer ★★★ - Swiss made. Plexiglas with no marks. Strap measuring 19 cm (excluding pin buckle). Mechanical movement with manual winding, calibre ETA 1260, 17 rubies incabloc, in good working order.
