boy bitten by the crab, Sculpture (1) - antimony alloy - Second half 20th century
Antimony sculpture with marble base.
A high-quality sculpture with golden patina.
A boy is bitten by a crab in his right foot, one of Annibale De Lotto preferred subjects. This statue bears no signature though, and is therefore anonymous.
Created around the mid-20th century.
It features elaborate details for being an antimony sculpture, such as beautiful hair, face, abdominals and finely crafted hands.
In good condition, as shown in the photos. The crab is missing a leg and the marble is slightly chipped. There is a wielding imperfection or a sign of restoration, on the neck, see last photo.
